I would try leaving small hints aroung the house. Get a beagle calendar for the new year. Buy a dog magazine with a beagle on the cover, and read it intently over breakfast. If he keeps pictures of you in his walet, replace them with pictures of beagle puppies. Acquire an overly enthusiastic fixation with Snoopy, and give only ';Because he's a beagle'; as an explanation. Pretend to walk a dog around the house, make it extra convincing by naming it and trying to play fetch. Look into accesories with the statement ';I love/%26lt;3 my beagle'; on them, and make sure he is aware of them and the fact that it is not just a new office fad. If things start getting rough and he doesn't take the hints, tell him ';lets go walk the dog,'; if he asks what dog, say ';the beagle,'; if he then states that you don't have one, say ';thats because you haven't bought it for me yet.'; in a very serious manner. All in all, try to be creative, you can have a lot of fun with this, and it could be applied to other things you may want in the future, like jewelry. Also, in the holiday spirit, I suggest you check at your local animal shelter, humane society, or anti-cruelty association. These organizations strive to find a second chance for great animals, that may have had a sad start to their life. These animals are in need of a good home, are often trained, and typically have recieved their yearly vaccinations and have been spayed. My Dog passed away 2 yrs ago and I have been wanting another one,he refuses.I have begged and pleaded with him and still the answer is no.My Husband would throw a Big hissy Fit if I just brought one home.I don't know how your husband would react but that is one way or ask you parents to give you one as a gift. Beagle pups are great as house pets until they get to be beagle adults. Beagles need their freedom to chase rabbits and other sorts of things and do not make good lap dogs.





The best way to convince your husband to surprise you with one is to go shopping and just happen to go by the pet store. LOL. Once in the store find a beagle pup and absolutely go nuts over it, letting your husband know how cute and adorable it is. Ignore all the other cute puppies. Every time you go shopping with your husband spend at least 15 minutes at the pet store(s) looking at adorable beagle pups. Every time all leave the store without a puppy of your dreams, put on a sad face and remember when ';Momma Is Not Happy No One is Happy, Especially Hubby at Meal time and Bedtime';. His resistance to you having a beagle pup will break and you may end up with two beagle pups, plus a new diamond necklace. LOL.

Show him what a puppy is, and what it can du and he can du for the puppy, give him examples as to its his chance to show how gud of a father he really is. share some interesting facts about the lil animal, as it can be a watch out it can be very gud playmate and compaion with kids and keeps ur home safe. show and tell him theres more advantages of getting one then not to.

It is a bit to late to get a beagle puppy for Christmas unless he breaks into a pet store--everything is closed now.
Tell him how much you want a pup. He most likely won't be able to get one now since Xmas is already here, but maybe for New Year's!
Just buy one for yourself. If you wait for your husband to get the hint, you will probably never get one! I just bought myself a new Shih Tzu puppy. When she got delivered, I gave my bf a big kiss and said ';Thank you!'; He just looked at me and walked away. No arguements, no hinting, and no stress. It is the best way to go.

Isn't it a little late now since it is almost Chrstmas day?
Don't mention that the dog will need housetraining and all that. Focus on the benefits of a new puppy and so forth (cute, loveable, adorable....and you would be oh so happy and grateful and pleased with him!). Stuff like that.
There are several things to consider before taking on a new pet. You certainly seem to want the puppy but have you had a beagle before? Have you checked out this breed with the AKC or CKC? Is this the dog for you? Is it the dog for your husband?





Christmas is a very hectic time for families--the general excitement along with visitors and visiting can prove a bit much for a little puppy just learning about a new home--hey, and New Year's is just around the corner.





Depending upon where you live, you might want to think about acquiring the puppy at a time of the year when the weather will be more conducive to taking it for a walk.





Do you work all day? Having a new puppy and having to crate it all day can be stressful--for the pup and you. Do you have children?
