Say you live modestly, not in a big city, in a three bedroom house and have two kids. How much money does your husband have to make to be a stay at home mom?
as long as you don't have a bunch of car payments and credit card bills, and as long as your only major bills are utilities and rent oh yea gotta have cell and house phones too.and internet connection. then as long as he makes between 25,000 and 30,000 a year you can live quite comfortably....And to those who will thumbs down my answer my husband and i and 4 kids live quite comfortably on this and still have extra money to eat out with the kids once in a while. my family usually prefer to eat in because they say i am a better cook than any one in the restaurants. gotta love it. and hubby and i still get our occasional dates. How much money does your husband have to make to be a stay at home mom?
I mean, he'd have to cover (I assume) a mortgage, monthly bills like cable %26amp; utilities, car/s payment, taxes, insurances, clothing %26amp; food for all four family members, basic necessities, spending money, any credit card debt, etc.
Well, just do it this way, what does the average working adult make? 25,000 or somewhere around there, right? Well, hubby'd have to double that to cover the other adult in the household making $0, so I'd say $50,000/year and upwards.
It depends on what your monthly expenses are, where you live, etc. I know if it were me, my husband would have to make what we make together, which is over 60k a year.
My husband makes $98,000 and we live good. But I think that if you make like 50,000 a year you would be fine as long as you plan carefuly.
Over $45,000.00 if you want health and dental coverage for the family.
He would have to make a lot of money cuz I don't want to stay home!
50k plus
well, years ago, we said $45,000, but now it is alot more. plus, cost of living plays in.
